El Questro Wilderness Park is a privately owned Wilderness park that was previously a cattle station.
The park is located 110 kilometres West of Kununurra along the Gibb River Road. The park still runs 8,000 head of cattle on the property.

Gail and I upgraded here and had the luxury of a fully self-contained unit - it was wonderful after the last two days on the ground in a swag!

Early the next morning we all headed off to Zebedee Springs. These are permanent thermal springs surrounded by Livistona Palm trees. The natural thermal spring, which comes out of the ground quite high up on the cliff, forms several shallow pools at the base which are between 28 and 32C - lovely for a warm soak.

It was about a 45 minute walk to Emma Gorge, in the El Questro Wilderness Park, mostly following the creek until we arrived at the falls which were enclosed on three sides by the tall, steep sandstone cliffs of the Cockburn Ranges.
The falls had a fair amount of water cascading down but you could only imagine the amount that must thunder over it during the wet season.

A goanna decided to swim across the pool to get into the sun on the other side.
